Music Friday: Lullaby for Mergo

Hello! Let’s all tread together the treacherous path of the final day of the work week joined by some great music!

I haven't played Bloodborne at all this week. Since getting the "easy" ending last Sunday I'm "detoxing" from the stress of the final few hours of the game. I plan to return soon to get the other two endings but in the meantime I often remember the final moments, and the boss that ends one of the most cruel areas of the game.

BEWARE OF SPOILERS

The Wet Nurse guarding Mergo, the Child of Nightmare, is one of the best boss fights of the game. If you choose the easy ending it's essentially the final boss. A multi-armed hooded figure that slices without mercy and can engulf the stage in deep purple fog to hinder your vision.
During this intense battle, the theme I share today plays. It's a child's lullaby with an intensely creepy touch. Stands to reason. It's calming the result of a stillbirth, possibly the fruit of a liaison between a human woman and a Great One (the lore is still being ferociously debated). A soothing song in the midst of a barrage of blades that you can barely see and... OH MY GOD SHE CLONES HERSELF. #NOPE

So be quiet, good Hunter. Do not wake the child that is not a child, and may you find your worth in the waking world.
