Let's talk about Persona

It's Personamania, everyone! With this week's launch of the highly anticipated Persona 5 it seems as there's no social network without its share of hype, enthusiasm and, yeah, salt towards the silly no-sharing restriction. But HEY, it's Persona 5 and everyone agrees it's the second coming of RPGesus.

But I'm a slow man. I recently started Persona 4 Golden (P4G), the Playstation Vita (viva la Vita!) port of the PS2 original. I was waiting forever for it to go on sale, which it did a week or two ago. Lots of people had told me P4G was amazing so I decided to give it a go. And while I am early in the game, I can make a solid statement now:

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU GUYS MANAGE THE STUFF YOU CAN DO IN THE AFTERNOONS WITHOUT GOING CRAZY?

I can go out with a friend to improve my relationship with them and thus improving my Persona's stats. I can go to Soccer practice (Tue, Thu & Sat, unless it rains). I can study in the school's library to improve my knowledge. I can read a book to improve my courage but only if I am not tired from spending the afternoon doing something else. I can go to EVERY DAY IS GREAT AT YOUR JUNES to farm a bit in the dungeon to get money to buy potions and stuff. I can join the school's Drama Club, though the schedule sometimes conflicts with the Soccer Club. I can spend the afternoon working to make some cash. I can improve my Personas by... what? You want to go out now? Um... ok... it'll help my Social Links I guess. Perhaps tomorrow I can train some more with... uh? I gave Chie the wrong question in class so now I have to spend the afternoon with her to make her feel better? Ok, so maybe the next day I can... *phone rings* hold on... yeah? Today? O-okay... bye *click* BETTER SET MY PLANS ASIDE CUZ THE SOCCER CLUB GUYS WANT TO HANG OUT. Did I mention I have a limited number of days before someone dies so I actually also need to farm in the dungeon instead of doing all of the above?

Good grief!

It's so stressing to handle all the options you can do in a single afternoon, while keeping in mind that if you spend too many days forging your Social Links and improving your Personas you won't have enough time to grind the dungeon and save the victim of the mysterious TV murders!

And this is all in the beginning hours of the game!

At least there's this jewel of a song to help me through sunny days (the soundtrack is kicking ass):

Meanwhile, I joined the Persona 5 bandwagon. I am not a masochist (sometimes) so I'm likely playing it after I finish P4G... and Horizon... and Nier... and NiOh...

Help.

EVERY DAY IS GREAT AT YOUR MOTHERFUCKING JUNES.

Get yourself a hyperbolic time chamber or say goodbye to your friends for the next good while, sir.
