The idea behind augmenting gear is cool, but being able to replicate/top the best gear in the game that takes days/weeks/months/years to obtain with just 5 minutes and some luck is absurd.

How can they even do things like this? It wont end here either, just wait on the augments to follow, especially the Haub / Byrnie / Weskit ones, and all other great equipment. Motherfuckers.

For sure, why the fuck did they make these pieces augmentable at the first place? I think it's great to fix and renew pieces that are really crappy to somewhat decent, but this is outragous.

This is exactly what is on my mind.
Won't be long before we see E-Body replicas now, and god knows what else.
But we should've seen this coming, they started with making Valor Surcoat useless times and times again.

With the +6 INT augment does it trump Morrigans robe for straight nuking? I'm not a BLM, so I'm not sure but doesn't 2 INT convert into 1 MAB?

If that's true, it would mean the MAB is equal to that of the morrigan robe. The weskit also has Elemental Magic skill for magic accuracy. With that equal MAB and elemental magic acc It would mean this would be situationally, the best body piece for nuking? Can a veteran BLM confirm this?

However, Morrigan robe has refresh and MND.

I don't think this will effect the value of the robe.

I'd love to hear some opinions.

doesnt trump morrigan for pure dmg ( especially with full set). It is clearly the best resist body though, if not fake.

It won't match Morrigan's damage wise, but those stats + the Elemental / lolConserve MP it's really really close.

Well, on the first day how are we to know there won't be +9,10 etc etc INT weskits popping up. Even if its a small % chance (which it obviously is), the fact still remains you could get as good/better gear from 5 minutes of luck, than you could with infinitely more time invested + 12million gil etc. from things like Salvage, Kings etc.

When some Haub +1's start popping up with combinations of decent melee stats, why the hell would anyone even think about sitting in DA for months (years) etc for a shot at E Body? FoV has likely just become a giant slap in the face to end game FFXI imo.
