Who and what weapon?

Just wondering what weapons everyone is giving to what characters D:

Vaan: Sword
Balthier: He has a Iron hammer right now(lol)
Fran: Bow (thinking of going spear with her)
Bash: Some Great Katana I got from a sand person
Ashe: Pole
Penelo: I just bought a crossbow but she misses soo much prob going to stick to daggers with her lol.

Fran: Bow with staff merits
Basch: G. Katana / Bow / G. Sword if I can find another one
Ashe: Healers staff I think its called
Penelo: Crossbow / Dagger

Balthier: Katanas (sometimes gun)
Fran: Bow (occasionally daggers)
Basch: Great Katana atm, planning for spear (Zodiak) for him down the road.

It's called Killer Bow. You can get from random drop I assume, but can get at weapon npc as well.

in the magicite mines with lamont, first section you go through normal, second section is a double track walkway with skeletons that pop in the middle, third section is an arc with a little side passage with mines, dont take the passage follow the arc on the tracks, there is a treasure chest along the right side of the arc, inside that chest is a chance for a killer bow. to get it to repop you need to leave the mine but if your like me you run in killing, up to 1 section past the arc area with the 50ish respawning skeletons, then leave, sell your tons of bone chips for lots of gil, regear again, spend lisc points then head back, popping the chest again.

its a great way to earn lots of exp and lisc as well as lots of gil for later. Im going to try to get another killer bow and just make a rangerburn pt

In my two trips into the mines, that chest had the Killer bow both times.

(although, I have two Gladiuses, so Killer bow = meh)

I've gotten like 6 Killer Bows....sold all but one for Fran...maybe I should keep one >_>

i hate it when ppl are told from guides or other sources that you have to leave the entire area for rare treasures to repop, it's just not true. (not directed at you sono)

you just have to go to a zone area that's 3 zonelines away from the area where you want the chests to repop

my friend laughed at me about Fran H2h, but I shut him up in 2 minutes when he saw Fran Berserk + Haste + H2H. but you need Brawler and Swiftness to really do this.

Also I try to make sure everyone has at least 1 ranged wep. I do this because alot of the mobs in some zones are flying, so I just equip all ranged and Boom FFXi arrow burn.

Depending on who I'm using, I have one person with sword/shield(leader) for tanking, and have other 2 members with ranged.

Manage to avoid alot of needless AOE damage

Vann- I was using sword, then switched to ninja sword, then just got ice brand so I think I'm going back to sword.

Basch- Axe and shield. He's my tank, the axe will hit for like 1600, but can also hit for like 16. lol Average is 1000ish though so it's sweeeet.
Ashe- Mace/Shield. She's my cure/status bitch.
Other three are level 10-15.

(my main 3 are 34)
