I stopped playing back in 2010 when the work schedule hit me hard. I've got only good memories in head and heart, miss the game, the music, my linkshell, everything.
Sometimes wish I've had a 6 month break from everything and play FFXIV.
So I ranomly hear from some gaming site that FFXI is finally dying (aka no more content updates) and then I stumble upon this thread...
Oof the memories just FLOODED back in. That's me in the lolblessed gear doing my best to pretend I have taru MP. I don't know if I've ever said I quit FFXI, but I'm currently on a 3 year "vacation" of sorts. This thread could threaten to break that streak lol.
Good.. no, GREAT times! Kujata for Lyfe.
Serra thank you for the trip through memory lane Your images are great! Any idea if old JE'ers or TBCer's still play 11? or even 14?
I think someone mentioned earlier in here that Rio still plays. I talked to Neri and Meesh, but both of them said they've pretty much moved onto XIV. I never got into XIV, so no idea how many picked it up/still play.
I could be confusing recent memory with past memories but I think I've seen Vashs around too. Who knows if it's actually him though. But yes, Rio still plays and is often doing Vagary.
Hi Med and Serra! Yeah I still play, not planning on quitting till they crash the servers for good.
I joined again. I'm hooked again. Dyna > Buy stones > Upgrade 119 gear with shitty augments > Repeat.
this thread makes me feel old as shit
Just so all you guys know, its free login week right now. I'M ENABLING!
Fuck, this 100 times over. Non-online people had such a hard time understanding that friendships in XI were more than just people we played with.
And also, fuck your going out to drink -- I knew if I skipped a single Dynamis, that'd be the one where the piece I was waiting on would drop.
I lived with my ex-gf for about a year during my FFXI days. She also played, and was in the same LS. I was supposed to pick her up from work one day, but I would have had to leave right before the last window on an 8-day Nid. She was, understandably, quite upset when I asked her to just take a cab home. Looking back at it now, I'd have dumped me too.
