Has anyone made any comparison between Psycloth Lappas and Chironic Hose? was wondering if losing 5 Enfeeb skill is totally worth the immunobreak +1

Poison2/Distract III/Frazzle III rely heavily on enfeebling skill for potency. While 5 enfeebling skill won't effect that much (like 2 to 3 potency), if you don't need the immunobreak, just stick with psycloth lappas.

You can get a lot more magic accuracy on the Chironic, though.

That does nothing for potency. That is why I said if you don't need the immunobreak, stay with psycloth lappas.

Except that Distract III and Frazzle III can't immunobreak, so what you said would imply that you always use Psycloth Lappas. 5 enfeebling skill will give you only +0-1 additional magic evasion/evasion down on Frazzle III and Distract III, so Psycloth Lappas probably isn't worth the inventory slot and additional trouble swapping macros depending on your foe's magic evasion, IMO.

Revitalizer is a game changer. Did all the AAs last night and the lesser gods except Seiryu with PLD, BLM (me), WHM, GEO, GEO, Moogle trust. I was the only one nuking. The fights basically went like this:
    1 Pop
    2 Elemental Seal, Manawell, Impact
2b Vidohunir if I had TP
3 (wait for GEO to finish getting Bolstered geomancy up - Focus + Malaise + Vex + Attunement)
    4 Manafont + Subtle Sorcery
    5 Death
    6 Spam Tier 6 nukes
7 Impact typically wears towards the end of Manafont/subtle sorcery, so cast it again
8 Revitalizer and repeat steps 4-6
    9 The monster

Seiryu's Regen was a kicker. Took it to 35% at the lowest with this strategy, but stalled out when SPs wore off. If we hit Wild Card and timed things right, this strategy is probably capable of killing him. Swapping a GEO for a SCH and abusing magic bursts is likely a simpler solution, though.
How much were your Deaths doing without magic burst? One thing I noticed about Seiryu that I think is somewhat remarkable is that Death did not seem to pull hate instantly like elemental magic does. Granted, this was on the Kirin version and I was only able to observe this once (only did the fight killing adds once.) Many groups I've heard have trouble because it tends to wreck your BLM, but using Death only may provide a much cleaner alternative. Also, a single magic bursted Death will nearly one shot summoned gods on Kirin. I know some groups like to ignore them. We seemed to have bad luck with this method, getting Kirin to 55% and then killing off the gods before finally zerging Kouryu seemed much cleaner (and required fewer people.)

    For teles pop ideas:

Tumult Curator Blood + 3x of Toau King item
Tumult Cutator Blood + 3x Void item

    all didn't work

I'm thinking that the scheme is similar to the AA's, in that we'll see 2 HELM items and then 2 items associated with that enemy. I'd suspect Siren's Tear, Siren's Hair, Siren's Macrame, Goddess Hymnus scroll, Maiden's Virelai scroll, Cythara Anglica, and maybe other BRD related crap, possibly also bell related items (as she had a bell in the mission). I'd put down Siren's Flute too but I'm confident they wouldn't use an item you can only acquire one per character.

I doubt they'd use those scrolls or siren's tear since they are Rare (they did use Exclusive items for pops, but never Rare); it seems to me they want you to be able to hold multiple pops.

Monsters don't have an associated resist to them, so they can't. They do get a magic accuracy bonus to somewhat compensate for that, though.

I'm pretty sure I've seen immunobreak message using Distract III, but I will have to go test to make sure.

a scroll + an instrument does sound promising. also, isn't there a chance that teles is not a HELM NM, but actually a T4 NM? maybe they are adding the HELM NMs in the next update, with phoenix as the top tier NM for that set.

so, there's something with using dark matter on armor in ffxiv, and we got that with reisenjima augs.

can any clues for pop items be drawn from the siren fight in ffxiv?

More JPs on my server are saying the Goblin tells them to not use Brew. It would be the biggest troll ever by now if this wasn't true for the JP client.

    Goblin is supposed to say:

    Code:

    Tenjinchigi = Brew
    kinshi = taboo, ban, prohibition

I can't be sure what my MP was at any given time, but most of them were actually the same (around 1900-2000). Variability within target probably comes down to buffs (Malaise, AM2, Soldier's Drink, Oracle's Drink, Food, mob having Shell, etc.) Between targets, those numbers match up pretty well with how well I remember things taking magic damage. Also, I don't think we Bolstered the AAs.

hmmm, interesting. Wonder how high of a magic accuracy boost they gave those spells.

Anyone make any actual progress for a "real" Neak strategy?

So far our way to kill it looks like this:
    - Go all out with 6 (usually PLD WHM 2x GEO SCH BLM)
    - Someone Silence it
    - Get it to 75%? 50%? before the 13min30 mark spamming Frag
    - It will skip discordant note and go into chainspell mode
    - Finish it off easily without ever seeing discordant note or having to hope for !!
    - Enjoy loot

Works great for us usually, but I'd like to know the other ways to kill it SE intended for us.

We do exactly the same thing with 12. Hilariously if you take it down to 25% when it starts chainspell it just kind of stands there and casts nothing.
