Probable not confirmed yet tornado about an hour ago west of me
It's a sign!
Spoiler: show
Was a tornado watch up near me at around 4:30/5pm along the I-84 corridor. Took me three hours to get home last night because of multiple downed trees. Can't tell you how thrilled I was to sit in bumper to bumper traffic going uphill in a manual car for over an hour. By the end I could smell the clutch.
No damage to my immediate area, and only a few small branches that fell in my yard. Everything had pretty much fallen after that last heavy snow in the winter.
Took me an extra 3 hours to get out of JFK yesterday. Thankfully the weather here is hot, humid, and served with a side of cold pool.
My friend's place in CT took a fucking beating yesterday and their schools were closed today.
Trees down all over the place in western and central ct. Lots of outages still. Highest I saw was 140k yesterday. Still at around 100k now.
2 confirmed dead so far
National Weather Service in Boston said yesterday's storm caused a meteo-tsunami in Long Island Sound. New Haven's tidal gauge had a foot of difference
New eruption in Hawaii, will probably affect incoming & outgoing flights.
Its been like 85-90F for 4-5 days in japan, and then a sudden drop next week to the lower 70's or even 60's....... thank god they got cooling lotions and sprays...
Near 100 predicted for Memorial Day with mid-90's over the weekend. Just yuck! I wish my AC worked.
For the last few days been getting colder, windier and damper each day. Drizzling and like 60 now. And supposed to be sunny and back in the 80s by sunday.
it rained. in the fucking central valley.
Spring skipped lower Michigan. Hot as balls out already today.I would've liked to work on my car but not in this heat/humidity.
Hot. Just fucking hot.
https://blogs.mprnews.org/updraft/20...eather-in-may/The Twin Cities’ high of 100 was:
- a record high temperature for the day
- a record hottest Memorial Day
- a record for the earliest 100-degree day of record
- our fifth consecutive day of 90 degrees or hotter, setting a record for our longest string of such days in May
Spoiler: show
Was already 80 F at 10 am...
Been pretty nice in the 70s. Though we had nearly 6 inches of rain so once it warms up the humidity is going to be hell.
Real Feel tomorrow expected to hit 110. Bleh!
I was in Vegas last weekend.
Holy fucking shit. 115+ every day.
