What pools and mining software are you all using for ether?

Yeah that's fine, the only truly "bad" way to mount an AIO is on the bottom since they tend to have air in them.
I'm using Phoenix Miner, but if you dont want to learn how to do that Nicehash does it all for you and pays out in BTC.
So my buddy started searching only for 3080s for his resident evil games even after I told him a hundred times to aim for a 3060ti/3070/AMD since he had a "$1500 budget." He was considering paying aftermarket prices for one. He kept looking at benchmarks and was really stuck on it.
I sent him some prebuilt deals from reddit and found two great ones one $1299 for a 3060ti build and a $1800 3070 build with a 5900x. He snagged the one with 3070 and 5900x as well as a 1440p 144hz monitor to complete it.
I'm really happy he went this route. It saves me the trouble of going there to build it for him and he got to be more conservative at the same time as getting the most out of it.
Also now I'm jealous but I am still waiting on a 3080 anyway.
4 went in stock last night and I had the ventus in my cart but I really don't want that one so I held off. If I waited this long I can wait longer.
At this point I imagine I'm either going to end up with a 3090 or 3080ti.
Man if y'all get a 3070 in cart or in hand, salad will buy it off you and pay for shipping with a finder's fee. It's rough with the import tax, but if the card is under $650 before tax 'll do it.

I've got a 3080 and Zen 3 CPU coming my way at some point in the future.
Granted it's in a laptop, but at least I'm not stuck worrying about trying to catch them going in stock.
I'm sad at how dirty they did mobile 30 series chips
You're not wrong
From piecing together benchmarks at what to expect from the one I ordered (the Strix Scar 17), I'm gonna be looking at mostly the same frame rates/graphic settings in games I'm getting from the current laptop, but jumping from 1080 to 1440p and the massive performance/battery life boost in general usage from the 5900HX.
My current laptop has some issues and I've been waiting for this roll out of Zen 3/RTX 30 for awhile so I was buying one no matter what, but a bit more GPU power would have been nice. If only my job didn't involve so much travel so I could stick to desktops, but such is life.
I can get an MSI 2x 3070 off Hardwareswap for $800. Would be upgrading from an EVGA 2080 Super (that I got for $550 and they are reselling for about $650+ now). Think I should pull the trigger for the $150?
My guy $800 for a 3700? No way.

This version is $710 retail at Microcenter, which with CA tax, comes out to $780 anyway. But yeah I feel like I'm better off getting a pre-built with a FE and stripping it rather than paying the premium.
If it is the Ventus model skip it
Finally received my 12pin cable from be quiet. Seems it had trouble getting through customs for whatever reason but I didn't pay a dime for it so not gonna complain. Just need to sit down and sleeve it some time but it already looks better than that stupid adapter.
I grabbed one from cable mod. I split shipping with a friend since we ordered together. Def not free though but was already sleeved. I'll post some pics once my ekwb arrives, if ever.
If y'all haven't seen it, Nvidia is intentionally limiting the mining capabilities of the 3060 (thru both drivers and the cards BIOS apparently) and will start selling mining specific cards again.
I'm debating getting a laptop due to my current and future life situation regarding going back to school. Rip 3080.
Hello mobile 3060.
If you're gonna be looking at a laptop make sure to find out what the TGP of the GPU is.
It's a serious shit show with this generation of laptops, and the performance differences can be pretty massive.
Mobile 3080s can be pretty good if you find a model with a decent upper power limit. Thta said depending on your circumstances you may want to look into a DTR, even last Gen gpus beat the mobile ampere chips and DTRs pack nearly full power chips.
My A51m has a 200w 2080 for example. They don't compromise on cpu power either, they're just usual socketed desktop chips.
Def what I'd recommend for a laptop if you don't need a razor thin 3lb notebook.
