Apparently the man that Kim was based off of passed away recently. He was the previous President of Vicccom. The wiki speculates that they witheld Kim from the main roster out of respect, but that he's coming in DLC.

Early reviews saying the netcode is fantastic, so yay

As I am technically Hispanic and legally required to play KOF, I'll be grabbing it on Steam. Had just been waiting to hear about if the netcode held up

Still not the prettiest game around, and still utterly lacking in fashion sense, but the game is seriously solid and fun. I hope it gets a little FGC love. I was late to the KOF party, but hot damn do I enjoy the games.

So apparently the PC/PS5 and presumably Xbox Series X (the developers only specifically mentioned PC and PS5) versions of the game all have ray traced reflections, so that's cool

And for anyone remembers this saga from Guilty Gear Strive, the PS5 version apparently has pretty bad input lag, which at this point seems to be a system wide problem and not something specific to fighting games, it's just more noticeable there.

Apparently training mode has a glitch where the dummy recording playback eats your inputs. So you have to leave a long idle gap at the end of the recording for it to register.

FYI in case you’re losing your mind on why it feels like the game isn’t recognizing your execution in the lab.

There's definitely gonna be some teeth grinding from the hardcore crowd a lot of characters have had their inputs simplified. Terry's Rising tackle is a dp input again and Luong has had all her half circle inputs made into quarter circles just to name a few.
