This movie is going to be three and a half hours of gutting emotion and I cannot wait for it. Can't think of anyone better to put the atrocities and violence to screen than Scorsese.
no idea of the original story and kinda tired of Leo but looks gorgeous and have full faith in Scorsese let's get it
You can get the gist of it from the first few seconds of the trailer. Without spoiling complex details, Native Americans find oil on their land and become incredibly wealthy. White people do white people things.
cook underseasoned chicken?
wear socks with sandals?
Get offended by other white people on someone else's unsolicited behalf?

ah man i just finished the book this is based on and jesus christ what the fuck
this is fixin to be one rough watch. but also yeah 91 at Metacritic looks like a late mastapiece from Marty, can't wait.
opening night tix is got, my most anticipated movie of the year.
won't be contributing to the opening weekend box office unfortunately but will hopefully get to see it monday or tuesday. hopefully it's a more...brisk 3.5 hours than the irishman was, looking forward to it
moments of greatness and a powerful underlying narrative, but man old Scorsese could really use an influential editor. neither this nor The Irishman justify their run-times.
It's Stephen King syndrome.
He needs one to make things perfect, but at this point everyone is afraid to do the job, so nobody does.
