    Scavenge + digging

Just wondering, is scavenge on the same table as chocobo digging? Can you find the same things in the same zones, under the same penaltys etc?

http://www.spielmansmog.com/guides/scavenge.php lists items you get from Scavenge...they're all ingredients for RNG ammo (feathers/fletchings, arrowheads/boltheads, lumber). Scavenge and Digging tables are most likely unrelated, or at best Scavenge table is a subset of Digging.

If i wanted to stay in one area until I got x99 Demon Arrowheads, would the zone ever run out of them after x attempts, like digging? Not mentioned on your site.

Not mentioned anywhere I think, because nobody will stay in a zone for 8 hours or more to test it. In fact they would probably do anything else that would farm the money to buy x99 Demon Arrowheads way faster.

But I don't think the zone would run out...I think scavenge is unrelated to digging.

I always figured Scavenge was just going to randomly give you an item, not like you were actually "digging" for items. Scavenge just says "scans local area for items", so its probably just checking 5 game feet or something around you when you use it (if it even does).

I can see it now: Legions of RMT Scavenge bots huddled together in some dark corner doing nothing but running Scavenge macros all day and night, killing the arrowhead market.

Scavenge has a been a lifesaver doing ENMs in Movalpolas before, managing to pull up some Firesands to help get people thru gates.

But yeah, other then that 1 time it's worthless.
