I doubt it... I mean that would be the biggest monopolization of games across the board

    Neither outcome is ideal.

EA doesn't have the cash to buy them. If anything it'd be a media conglomerate like News Corp or Warner like Vivendi is now.

Activision/Blizzard could also stand on its own. Vivendi wasn't really more than a holding company for them anyway.

They could stand on their own if they could stand to lose 13.7 billion in stock (61% according to articles) and still be alive (they can't, they need a new investor or a sling of investors)

I don't really know what to make of this. Blizzard has got to be a huge moneymaker for Vivendi, so I don't see them selling strictly as a profitable business decision, but at the same time, maybe they know something that we don't about the big 3 Blizzard franchises?

Vinvendi is also bleeding money like crazy. They need to recoup some losses.

Just sounds like selling the good assets to cover the bad ones, happens all the time

I would think that Blizzard/Activision would be able to obtain the capital to do that. I am not saying that they will, as there will likely be many suitors, but I am sure it is an option that they are at least considering.

    This. Vivendi needs liquidity, quickly.
