Two episodes in, not very appealing so far.

Loved it. Really great production value, but there was some cringy character dialogue.

    Hated Dr Smith though.

I'm kind of in the middle so far (ep 6). It's not bad but it seems like it's confused about what their audience should be. The frequent flashbacks where we find out more complex plot points reminds me of Arrow or Lost. (at least mechanically; it's not as good as those)

Maybe someone in the planning stages went "Let's remake Lost in Space, and make it like Lost, but in space!"

I pretty much got 6 episodes in because I wanted to watch something that was more background noise. Now I'm interested to see where it'll go but not that keen.

You're kinda supposed to. Interesting to see Selma Blair make a cameo though.

The general gist I am getting of this series is that these are all people who did bad things to get on the space journey and now this is their purgatory.

Watched the series this weekend; better than I anticipated going in. Good production value / effects and enjoyed their take on the "Danger Will Robinson!" robot. Whole thing is scripted as a precursor story to how the family became "lost in space."

Finished it this weekend. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, probably could of been cut down to 9 episodes but it did keep me interested and I hope it gets picked up for 2nd season.

Smith character needs to go die on a rusty spike tho, writers did push me close to table flipping inducing hate a couple times because of Smith.

Yea I'm enjoying it as well. Only three episodes in but as others have said the production is pretty top-notch. Settings, costume design, make-up, all phenomenal. I like that each character is getting a good amount of development, not just themselves but as a family dynamic as well.

    Minor character spoiler?
    Spoiler: show
I hope to see more Mr. Chicken, really one of the more interesting characters I've seen. Sort of reminds me of Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly

Oh no I mean, I hated how they portrayed dr Smith.

I love the show. Best character is definitely Robot though I prefer his violent/original form. I also like West, but he reminds me so much of Matt Leblanc's take.

I really don't like what they did with Dr. Smith though; I can't tell if shes a psychopath, sociopath, or just an overall terrible person. It's like they took every trope for being a terrible individual and through it onto her character just to remind us how shitty shes supposed to be.

Apparently season 2 is already in the works.

Overall, I liked it. The pacing and the performances were quite good, with even Will managing not to be annoying. That said, this interpretation of Smith really doesn't work for me. Making the character a con woman instead of an evil, but cowardly genius, really takes away the menace. She is dumber than everyone on the planet, including the kids. How are we supposed to take her seriously as a threat?

Another odd choice that I'm not sure I care for is how they combined John Robinson with Don West, and then made Don West some dopey comic relief character. Not really sure what the point of that was.

Nearly every single problem that arises in this series could have been avoided if anyone said anything to another person. I am also shocked at how often people are alone at the most vital of times, most glaring example being the mom piloting the dad.
