when do you start making bank?

I've been wondering when do you start making the real gil not the 2k per day, like my bard has been making shyt i cant even craft off that<.<
i know that my char is worth about 600k with the items im wearing.
but still thats shyt compared to what the items i need are worth.
or where most of you guys poor untill you got into the HNM hunting? plz let me know.

damn man. I remember when 1 mil was actually worth 1 mil and snipers would be 250-300k etc etc.

my bard is 61, i also remember when the royal cloak was only 4 mil and now the vermillion is worth that much >.>

i am a bard and i've always had a hard time making money for myself. i mined untill i was mid 60's and that was enough to get by. there still really isnt any way for me to solo to get gil like some jobs can. the first time i broke 1 mil was when i was 75 after getting some decent drops like dam ingots & clothes from the kindred seal pot bcnm. the most i've ever had is 1.6mil and that was recently after a decent bcnm run and some ls split from sky treasure.

so i guess my advice for you would be to do some bcnms pick one with a good treasure pool and know the strategy. if you already do bcnms and just havent gotten lucky, then just keep leveling up for now and eventually you can gather your friends and hunt some of the major NMs and hope for good drops.

I did alot of synthesis early, got lucky 3 times on Leaping Lizzie by getting boots.
Back when they used to be 250k ._. I saw a pair get sold for 1mil....
Gave me a good start though, at 44 or so I got Emperor's hairpin as well.

Got my crafting up fast and started crafting the 100k profit stuff ^^

There are lv1 mules who have 100 skill craft and 60 skill sub crafts.
