HELP! Can you save your spell list menu?

My computer has been crashing on me lately. Today, for some odd reason, I decided to check my FFXI files and found there are several files that are corrupted. I've tried to fix but, I still get corrupted files.

I'm going to reinstall my FFXI. Before I do so, I was wondering if there was a way to save my Spell List so I don't have to spend hours reorganizing it -.-;

backup your /user directory, it's in there along with everything else

I saw someone post something about ctrl+alt+shift + s to save your setting on character select screen? Anyone has any idea if it's true or what it is.

I think its ctr+alt+shift+letter if not really close. The ctrl alt shift combo might be incorrect but it is similar if not right. You can do alot while pressing those keys and a letter, i am not sure which is the exact one to save - i think it tells you if you did save it.

I know you can delete chars this way^^ pretty sure thats D key, saving and loading might not necessarily be S and L, try a bunch of different keys.

It was in my manual is how i learned bout it. read your book CLOSELY its in there somewhere.

It lets you save your macros settings and everything to SE's server. You get 4 save spots.

So it wont be lost during reinstall.

The exact letters are: +B to save, +R to load, and +D to delete.

D isnt self destruct, a window pops after entering it. "Are you sure you want to delete the character Boyiee?" or the 30 second countdown begins lol hopefully its not the counter incase i am afk in character select and cat jumps on keyboard.

It doesnt though, not permanently anyway. I thought it would save ur macro permanently to the server or something. Appairently it's only usefull if you are a macro hog. You can swap macro sets back and forth without having to erase and rewrite macros.

You cant do something like... save them via that method, reformat your hard drive and and expect to come back and load them. A friend of mine tried that, and was a very sad panda
