I've camped it 15hrs before and no pop, then i gave up and it popped 3h~ later when i left. Another time it popped 3 times in like 2 hours...this NM is stupid -_-

Had the same exact situation happen with me and 2 friends from my old linkshell. We ended up selling it and became very wealthy.

I've been camping this thing religiously (14-16 hours a day) since last Friday, and all I can say for you people that go 1/1 or 1/2 or just walk up to a Sozu sitting there is that you are really, really lucky. You will never know the pain I feel right now. But damnit, if it's the last thing I do this knife will be mine again.

Of course, its worth a ton of money, but its annoying to camp due to all the RMT and THF competition you'll have. And the low drop rate.

Other day I logged in and my LS mate had been camping there for about 3 hours, having known that it died about 7 hours ago. I went down there as NIN, and it was the two of us against four gilsellers. Sozu pops right after I get there, I claim it with Kurayami, and then about 10 seconds into the fight I see Flare go off on me. I'm like, wtf? Then I realize the BLM gilseller tried to claim with Stun, and was standing on top of me. And he ate the Flare, and flopped over onto the ground.

If it woulda dropped it woulda been the perfect camp, but alas, not to be. Still fun though =)

Longest I heard of without a pop was about 16 hours I think. A friend of mine is also something like 0/144 as a THF...

I'm pretty sure there exists "no window" for Sozu. He can pop 16 mins after either he or the pursuer dies. Say he pops 5% of the time - that's once every 5 hours or so, which might be accurate? Maybe it's more. But he can pop back to back, or not for a really long time. In theory he could not pop indefinitely, as far as I can tell.

Thats true, it is a true lottery pop, as such it can pop every window, or none.. Ive heard some people say though that it is guaranteed to pop at least once every 24 hours as part of a sorter bigger window. That is of course, unsubstantiated.. Most likely speculation due to the fact that it's probably never gone over 24 hours.
