    Stunned Attack Rounds

When an enemy is stunned, does the attack timer continue counting, or is it 'paused' for the duration of the stun, to resume where it left off? I've made a diagram to explain what I'm trying to ask.

Left to right is time, the red hash marks are the attack rounds and the purple horizontal line is the duration of the stun effect. Is it scenario A, or B, or some other explanation I've neglected to consider?

Edit: I've made a 2nd diagram because I feel the delay in scenario B in the above diagram was a fairly exaggerated one, so here is one that exaggerates the other side without altering the original question:

Tanking as NIN/DRK if I stun something, as soon as I see "xxx is no longer stunned" I have teeth or claw in my face.

Definitely A. Attack delay seems to continue to wind down even when under the effects of Stun/Terror/Petrify.
