There's no main thread to post about the intersection of such things as the Jan 6 insurrection, the "trucker" "protest" insurrection, crypto financing, and other related subjects such as the growing fascism of the right-wing so here we go. There is plenty to post about in the COVID thread and the "protest" is transparently not about that so I don't think those posts should detract from that separate topic, especially now that restrictions are being lifted.

One can only conclude that these protests are a high priority for Putin’s global fifth column assets, because they are indeed all lit up pushing not only these protests but similar copycat activities planned in the US and Europe — NATO countries, really. And there is clearly value for the fascist international network to challenge democracies on their home turf. A limited convoy of vehicles was planned for Brussels and appears to have arrived but not had much impact so far. Another group in France was blocking traffic.

Flynn has said it repeatedly in the past and Maureen Steele says it as well, "This is asymmetrical warfare." Maureen is an associate of Leigh Dundas, a scientology lawyer who gave a public speech calling for executions on 1/6.

Canadian locals are not exactly welcoming their occupiers and a hashtag has developed surrounding what is I guess a trolling Canadian gay cowboy song called Ram Ranch, and thus the tag #RamRanchResistance. Resistors have crowded the trucker Zello chats and gained their trust to obtain mod status, then flooded the chat with "Ram Ranch" lyrics and blasted the song while confused boomers struggled to maintain control.

Experts say the images are disturbing and underline how convoy participants have recklessly placed their own children danger.

Chris Madsen, a defence studies professor with the Canadian Forces College, said it appears police are preparing to execute a major operation to clear downtown Ottawa and that will likely require the removal of children.

More news, the police appear to be planning for movement this weekend to clear some of these assholes out. Unclear how committed or successful they will be. The truck full of 2,000 guns appears to have been recovered but the story doesn't yet say if they found any missing/stolen. This shit is so fucking surreal and infuriating.

police attempted to inspect the Coastal GasLink (CGL) construction site near Houston, where they say "approximately 20 people, some armed with axes" had been reported to be "attacking security guards and smashing their vehicle windows," according to a statement released by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

On the road to the site, police discovered "downed trees, tar covered stumps, wire, boards with spikes in them, and fires" blocking the way.

"As police worked their way through the debris and traps, several people threw smoke bombs and fire lit sticks at the police, injuring one officer," the statement added.

When the police finally arrived at the worksite, they discovered "a multimillion dollar path of destruction."

"In one of the most concerning acts, an attempt was made to set a vehicle on fire while workers were inside," the company, headquartered in neighboring Alberta province, added.
