Please help me identify this game!

EDIT 2: Found it! Game is called "Skydrift".

Its an air-plane racing game where you can pick up weapons and power ups, and I think (really not sure about this) that all the planes were old-school propeller planes. It was an xbox live Arcade title I believe, but again, I can't be positive about that. I Read about this a little less than 2 months ago on either Kotaku or Joystiq (already tried searching both sites with words like "plane" and "race"; no luck). Someone please name this game!

Also, for those pc gamers that think this sounds familiar, this game looked EXACTLY like "Plane Crazy" which came out like 15 years ago... thats why i want to play this!

EDIT: Game may not have come out yet, the article I read ~2 months ago was a preview.

Yea, thats the only arcade plane game I know about ....... unless After burner is on xbox arcade as well?

Did Capcom ever release 1942 or 1943 on XBLA? Only schmup i can think of that had "prop planes"

It wasn't a dogfighting game; it was straight up racing with mario kart-like power ups. Also, i forgot to mention that the game may not be out yet. Atleast it wasn't back when i read the preview (~2 months ago)

Not sure if it's downloadable but it was a classic xbox game.

I need help thinking of a game too -- it was for Dreamcast and it was a plane flying/shoot-em-up type game. It was a ton of fun, was a little cartoony/anime-ish, and the planes themselves were a little older looking, not anything modern like fighter jets or anything.

Iron Aces? Gameplay. Doesn't really have the anime angle, but older planes...or is it more a shmup?

Definitely wouldn't be Pilotwings on the DC, as that's a Nintendo property.

Propeller Arena sounds more like it, but it wasn't officially released because of 9/11 or something, according to wiki.
