haven't had a chance to watch it yet, I will post opinions once I do.

For those wondering if there will be blood and boobies:

I watched this. It was p good. I dont like arthurs jacked up teeth but i do like the casting choice for merlin and morgan.

Yeah Arthur bothered me at first given both the weird teeth, crazy wide-spaced eyeballs and general nerdery, but once I understood they wanted to convey an unprepared "boy" for that role it made more sense. Still makes my teeth itch when people fit the wimpy kid role way too well to the point of distraction.

The file cut off, but I'm assuming that was a fairly decent cliffhanger.

As someone who's read way, way, way too much of the literature:

- I'm glad they're not trying to make this perfectly "historically" accurate. It's a conglomeration of approximately eight hojillion sources, and trying to pin it down to a specific year/time always ends in tears.

- While there is enough variation and inconsistencies even within a single body of work (what's up, sword-in-the-stone is Excalibur oh yeah but ALSO he gets Excalibur from the Lady in the Lake), they seem to be doing a decent enough job following the major plot points.

- Was definitely happy that they mentioned Pellinore as among those who are loyal to Arthur from the beginning, didn't hear if King Ban was included. A good chunk of the beginning of Le Morte d'Arthur is Arthur running around slaughtering the shit of people who don't immediately get down with the crown. Wondering if they'll touch on it in the show, it's a lot of good old-fashioned "and he cleavethed him threw the brainpan til he wast dead"; if you're interested, a lot of the future dads of some major characters are part of Arthur's original crew.

- Glad Kay isn't a douchebag. Never liked his later portrayals in the French as a boorish asshole, he was one of the original heroes from the Welsh Mabinogion as Cai.

- I knew Eva Green was going to be hot, wasn't expecting Igraine to be such a looker. I think they mentioned that Morgause (Morgan's mum, Uther's first wife that he sets aside for Igraine) is already dead, which is kind of a shame. Though in some versions Morgause is one of Morgan's sisters, so again, not anything I'd ever nitpick just because too much variation from the sources. Man I think they already implied Ulfius (the Duke of Cornwall, Igraine's first husband that gets cuckolded) is dead, and he's someone else who caused a lot of mischief as Arthur was coming into his own as king.

- Really liked the portrayal of Merlin. Joseph Fiennes has thankfully aged out of his too-pretty-boy youth; I quite like his sort of malicious-goodness-I-know-what-the-fuckness.

- This probably is going to sound sort of lol, but could have done without the sex scenes. They were a clear step up from the awful Excalibur scenes (holy LOL @ fucking in full armor), but they seemed a bit HEY MAN THIS IS ON PAY-MORE CABLE, LETS THROW IN SOME TITTIES.

Overall, looking forward to see where this series goes.

Only person that left was Adam Scott for Parks and Rec. and I mean its the whole premise of the show, find some other out of work actor and go.
