    In his imdb pic he sorta looks like Harry. I hope they add him as the UFO Easter egg.

    Umm.. How is Sean Bean playing Harry, when in the first Silent Hill film (which wasn't bad IMO)he is named Christopher Da Silva? From what I read he's only in negotiations for the movie and hasn't joined in any official capacity.

    I don't think the adopted father was supposed to be considered Harry. But either way I think this movie is more of a reboot then a sequel or sidequel even. Just from the description it seems they're going for a more literal adaptation of SH3 instead of just taking the lore and adding their own original story to it.

    You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    I don't think that was really harry at all. the first silent hill movie was really just silent hill. I remember watching an interview with the director and they decided to turn harry into a woman because they wanted to play off the idea of a woman fighting for her daughter instead of a father.

    Basically, it was silent hill and they changed whatever shit they wanted to make it more "movie".

    So I don't think we'd have to worry about connecting the two films.

    No no, I'm not saying it was Harry in the first SH. But it was Sean Bean and he was the character Chris Da Silva. It just seems weird if they bring him into this movie and start calling him Harry is all I'm saying. Unless I'm misreading what you're saying. Which is entirely possible. I'm raging hard right now I have to wait another 2 hours to play DA2 -.-

    oh snap, my bad. I saw the movie when it first came out and that was it, forgot he was in that movie lol.

    Hmmm iono, but it would just be him portraying a different character, and if this is supposed to be separate it's all good then.

    Because the writing was so shitty and cheesy. They nailed the atmosphere though - which was the cool part that everybody liked.

    Fuck the reviews, the first was probably the best video game to movie adaptation I have seen. Did a little reading around on the first one and found out there was an alternate ending, which I really wish was filmed.

    As well, Gans stated that his original vision of the film's finale revolved around six Red Pyramids appearing inside the church, each carrying a different weapon, and slaughtering the cult members in reference to Dante's Inferno.[5] When budgetary constraints prevented this ending from being filmed, he created the new ending that revolved around the barbed wire slaying of the cult by Alessa, which was inspired by the erotic anime Legend of the Overfiend.
    I did like the barbed wire ending, but, six Red Pyramids..

    Michael J. Bassett's Silent Hill: Revelation 3D's cast just got a lot bigger! Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcom McDowell have joined the already impressive cast. Moss will play Claudia Wolf and McDowell will take on Leonard Wolf. Moss and McDowell join new blood Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, and Silent Hill vets Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger.

    Producer Samuel Hadida had this to say about Moss;

    Carrie has displayed her enormous talent across all genres – from 'The Matrix' trilogy to 'Memento' – and we are delighted for her to join the world of Silent Hill. She will certainly bring a new level of excitement to fans of the videogame franchise.
    Bassett adds this to the aquisition of McDowell;

    Malcolm is quite simply an icon of modern cinema and I've been a fan since I was a teenager when I managed to see 'A Clockwork Orange.' He has an amazing ability to bring new and unexpected dimensions to his characters and I know he will bring something unique and disturbing to Silent Hill.
    Lionsgate is handling the international sales of Silent Hill: Revelations 3D. The film is based on the highly popular and successful survival horror videogame franchise by Konami and is the sequel to Hadida and Carmody's earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans.
