How about a general discussion thread for stuff once it begins? I decided to start Aion up from steam and downloading some patch right now that says...

Oh boy what fund this will be with 480 hours to go! Probably just my connection being gay but there is no way 400+ hours to download this shit.

I doubt this will be needed for pre-select right? right?

Then you have 1.0.5 to do then 1.0.5.4

Id just go to FP and DL the full client there (goes up to 1.5). FP usually doesn't give me any trouble and i DL stuff 1mb/sec

I would assume that you could just update your OB client to whatever patch its up to for live. No reason why you couldn't really.

I dunno how steam works, but don't you have to go through their own little launcher thing to run their games? I would make sure with steam that you can DL the open beta client and use that if they have any of their own software to go through.

I downloaded it then moved it to my ncsoft folder and I didn't have any problems. Even if you launch it through steam menu, it just opens up ncsoft launcher.

very noob question , are the servers seperated EU/NA , or I can join an NA server even if I am living in UK?

afaik if you wanna play NA you have to download NA client and maybe change your windows settings like people did for Caion.


But i am 100% sure you need NA client

You do. A friend of mine in Ireland wants to play with my husband and I (NA) and he has to buy a NA copy of Aion to do so. I contacted Ncsoft in regards to it, they also said you cannot buy a NA copy and have it sent to an EU area from their online store.

tried searching for the thread and I cant find it , what setting I need to change and since I already installed the EU client with an EU account ( I assume), is there is anyway to replace some files or registry data instead of going through all of it again?

also another question for people that plays in NA servers from EU zones, do you get lag compared to EU servers?
