A small population of fish is introduced into a lake and grows fast at first, then slows quickly. Growth is modeled by the formula
P(t) = A log (t+1) + B
where t measures the number of days after introduction

AFter 9 days the population is 35, and after 99 days the population was 60

1) Find the values of A and B that describe this population growth

2) Population when first introduced

3) how long until population is 100

They give you 2 data points:
P(9) = 35 (the population on day 9 is 35)
P(99) = 60 (the population on day 99 is 60)

You know P(t) = A log (t+1) + B, so

A log (10) + B = 35
A log (100) + B = 60

Solve this system of equations to determine A and B, for part 1.
Part 2 asks you to find P(0), which is easy after part 1.
Part 3 asks you to find t such that A log (t + 1) + B = 100, also easy after part 1.

I think it's funny when people put alot of avatar pictures on there becuase they htink they are cute or something. They are freaking avatars... 125x125 usually and they just build an effing wall of them because they think they are cute... what the heck man!?

Ok so the saddest part about this thread is that I sat here for like 20 minutes trying to figure this out, and I'm a math major, I swear the more you learn in college the more simple things you forget. You can set up a matrix easily and solve for A and B as well, but you will need those forumlae
