You should only need paralyna for the main tank. Hex Eye (Paralyze) is a frontal AOE and you can only get paralyzed if you face the NM.

Also, the more rngs and blms you bring, the faster the fight will be.

well equipped sneak/trick melee is better for hakutaku and bq than rng
we killed one in like 90 seconds

For Hakutaku it's pointless to face him if you're pld, just turn around and voke etc. Should be able to keep hate.

In all honesty, if you have a good ninja tank, you don't need all that many stunners. Out of 9 O-hat runs we did last night, we had a total of 4 stunners (1 drk, 3 blm), and we were barely using them... only things you need concern yourself with is Firaga III, all his other big spells should be eaten by shadows, and stunning flare is a good opening for a counterstrike. Ignore everything else (including hex eye and death ray)

our last run we had 2 stunners, you only need to stun Firaga.

about how many people is recommended?
and about how long is each fight?

Alliance of 18 and a bst or 2 add pt works nicely.

Don't call for help on it. Seriously.

The easy way to take him down for beginners is this:

Have 2 blink tanks, nin 70+ or war/nin 74+. They stand on opposite sides of HKTK, and alternate vokes.

Have 2 whm's each one keeps a tank targeted, and focuses solely on keeping them hasted, paralyna'ed, and cured.

Have all melee come as thf main or sub, and save TP to SATA WS whichever tank is behind the mob, and in between SATA WS all melee stand to one side or the other of the mob to avoid the directional TP attacks.

Have a good rdm keep silence on HKTK.

Have at least 2 stunners, and make sure they know to only stun firaga III. If you don't have a good rdm to keep silence on, then you need 3-4 stunners.

Make sure blm's know not to nuke like they do in an exp party, if they do they end up dead, and you're down a stunner.

Have one person as a dedicated pop claimer. I've been in runs where this person pulls everything in sight. You only need to pull things that aggro or will likely aggro, which is normally no more than 2 mobs per fight. Rdm works nice as pop claimer to sleep II > silence mobs. If you have more than a full alliance, make sure this person is outside alliance and calls for help, nobody in main alliance calls for help ever.

Have all melee switch over and kill pop mobs quickly.

This is a fairly simple system, and it's worked very well with some of the densest people I've ever met in game. Using this method, you normally have more death getting to camp through den of rancor than during 3 HKTK fights.

Here is how I like to build my Tank Parties:
BRD NIN NIN WHM WHM RDM
BRD PLD PLD WHM WHM RDM

Either works, but I prefer blink tanks. BRD does March x 2 ususally for Blinkys or Ballad x 2 for PLD. PLD tanks require more stun. Like Stouter said, assign -na duties for the whms, and have the tank PT rdm focus on haste and refresh. Another RDM can focus on Enfeebles.

You can camp outside the gate, or behind the gate if you have lanterns. I hear there is a "Cliff camp" nearby but idk where that is.
