Patch up yet?

I got my PoL update ~2hrs ago and haven't been about to even get to my navigator. Is everyone having this issue, or am I just really unlucky and the patch is already up?

I only even asked because someone in the update thread said the patch was up

SE actually has done a DAMN good job with the servers. Much better than WoW which has crashes even with maints as often as they do (isn't it weekly?) I think the prolonged DoS attack really made SE make their servers top notch and now that its over, they're unbreakable. And we don't even need queues to have them stable.

What they said minus the quotes. Can get the update but POL itself is still likely down, since the update was stated to extend to POL, Tetramaster (lol), and Final Fantasy XI.

I wonder how long Fafnir will sit around unclaimed on various servers while people get stuck downloading the update

They usally dont release the update for FFXI til l the Half way point of the maint or 2 hours b4.

Besides, gotta have something to bitch about to pass the time. I don't care I can't log in the game, I'm annoyed I have the PoL update and can't get on PoL.

PlayOnline Server Maintenance (Apr. 17)

At the following time we will be conducting PlayOnline server maintenance. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI and Tetra Master will be unavailable.

The "Friend List Plus" feature, the "Q&A" feature and the Return Home to Vana'diel Campaign that are accessible from the official PlayOnline homepage (http://www.playonline.com) will be unavailable as well.

it's a PoL update, meaning you can't log in to PoL.

I've had to reinstall CoP once (crashed in the middle of the post 5-3 mithra BC CS every time I logged on, I think uleguerand was corrupted) and RoZ once (zoned into Yuhtunga, couldn't log on, yuhtunga was corrupted) because this wasn't implemented before. About damn time.

I doubt anyone can log on to PoL, seriously.

everyone will have to get the FFXI update too afterwards, which means you may see some HNM unclaimed for a while 8)

...the check files command in PoL is working... maybe it will allow the update. Probably not but what else am I going to do right now.
