I am only up to CoP mission 4-something. Can I buy Ancient Beastcoins and turn them in to the NPC for Brutal Earring even though I don't have access to Limbus?

ToAH binds and gags CoP, douses it in kerosene, sets it alight and throws it off a cliff. And so I don't want to do the missions any more (since no amount of fixing sea will make it better than ToAH).
