Wow, 19 yellow, 1 blue, 2 black so far. If that holds true with more votes, then colored chocobos are a lot rarer than I thought they were.

What Egg did you use for what color you got? Maybe that made a difference. Mine is still growing but has dark feathers on the tail and head so not sure if that means it will be black or not.

I used the the purchased egg, the third one down which was the warmest of the 3.

I was disappointed, mine had black feathers, then turned yellow after all, hoping I can get a better one through breeding. I have a yellow bitch for breeding, will take black, blue, or green cocks only, pst.

Wait, in the picture of adult chocos, mine looks more purple. There's a blue one in that picture that is unmistakeably blue. So, shouldn't there be an option for purple?

Mine looks like the one in the top row, second from last. I bought my egg from the NPC (but didn't write down what type of 'warm' it was.)

I voted yellow because I was too lazy to ever try raising one. The ones I rent are all yellow though.

It may be possible that second generation chocobos, depending on their parents, may have an increased chance of being black or blue.

If I mate my blue chocobo with another blue chocobo, perhaps the chance of yellow won't be 75% anymore. Or if the chick is yellow, perhaps the grandchick will still have more than a 12.5% chance to be blue. Or... perhaps even a 6th generation chick in a line of all blue family will still have 75% chance of being yellow. Time will tell.
