Onimaru's price...

Checking on FFXIAH it seems like Onimaru is rising in price pretty rapidly and has largely gone beyond the 100k mark. And on some server like Midgardsomr it's gone past 300k mark...

so anyone got some clues as why it's rising in price ?? it's "good" for Rana but hasn't the general concensus among SAM that Rana sucks anyways compare to YGK... it opens SC Dark, but i thought no one cares?

Took a while until they realize shitsoku is shitsoku.
But to be honest, people shouldn't really go with Hagun or GTFO attitude. Onimaru can give you close figure if you are not that aggresive player.

Ever since SE nerfed blood farming gil has become even harder to come by. So 3mil for a Hagun is impossible for a lot of new SAMs, including myself. Players noticed this and put up the price of Onimaru since it's the 2nd best choice. The price doubled on my server within a week. o.o"

Hagun is still the dream weapon for my SAM but until I can somehow get one (will need a miracle for that xD) I'm content with my Onimaru, it really is a good weapon.

thinking about getting onimaru for /dnc and spam rana >.> but vs my soboro is very perplexing, perhaps i should post on the "whats better" thread. but yes i have hagun and onimaru, the numbers are close and sexy. i luckily got my hagun for 1.6m, then it droped to 800k (sam "nerf"),then rised up to 3.2m on my server(sam bandwagon).

Did this before I got my Hagun. 200TP, Gogo Onimaru? Just hasso and NQBRD Min IV and Ushi w. NIN sub. Oni isn't that bad.

onimaru is better than hagun in certain situations if you equip yourself right for it. aka spamming rana. hagun beats the hell out of onimaru of you equip for it. aka spamming g/y/k.

Usukane Haramaki, Sune-Ate, Pachi - Attack+25 Acc+19 haste+2%
Usukane Haramaki, Sune-Ate, Hagun - Acc+25 attack+13 haste+2%

Both are ideal, both allow for the respective X-hit setups. Assuming 90% accuracy before weapon so that the full penalty of pachi is relevant, 90/87 = 3.4% tp and ws damage. On a 400 def mob with ~1.5 pdif, 12 attack = .03/1.5 or 2% tp damage. As a result, hagun will have 1.4% more damage during tp and 3.4% more damage from ws due to the stat mods on pachipachio. 480/450 = 6.6% more delay, compounded with that 3.4% results in 10.2% more WS damage, still dealing with inherent stats. 6.6% more tp damage too, still dealing with delay only, compounded with 1.4% from acc means 8% more TP damage. Assuming you TP in 3 FSTR, DMG:85 vs DMG:78 is a 8.9% increase, so all things considered pachipachio wins in tp damage by 0.9% and hagun gains 10.2% in ws, before factoring the ws damage itself in.

(1.2 * 1.1) + .1 = a total of 42% gain during WS, with compounding

Compare this to 25% more WS at ~3.5% more damage before ftp, hagun wins

oni+rana with near capped cratio should be superior or worst-case equal with hagun+gekko assuming you have the acc for it. Even if it's a little under, the dot will push oni over. Someday I hope to see a sam who swaps between oni and hagun depending on if zerk is up or not.
