Tooth extraction

so i went to the dentist to get my tooth pulled today because it was infected and the root was decaying. it hurt like hell. and after all that they gave me this little package which i thought only had guaze in it. when i gat home and opened it it had some pills in it also. they say percogesic on them and they are orange in color. doc didnt say anything about them and was wondering if anybody here has taken them and knows how i should be taking them

There should be directions printed on the label... also this is a question you could easily have answered by just calling your doctor...

they gave me 6 pills that were in an envelope in the care package with the gauze. it just came with a list of what i shouldn't not do for the next 24 hours and to put ice on my jaw for swelling nothing about these pills in the package

Are there any markings on the pills? RXlist has a way to look up pills by description and markings. I could also pull out my PDR and see what they are.

wait: found them. They are OTC pills. Basically acetomenephine and an antihistamine.

Acetomeniphine is a pain killer. Tylenol. The pills he has are only like 325mg, so it's a little stronger than 1 extra strenghth tylenol. Not sure why the antihistamine is there. Drainage maybe?
