I want this to be a Switch game announcement, but it feels way too early for that.
Maybe its a Direct to stay tuned for a Direct at e3.
Fingers crossed for Detective Pikachu x Inferno Cop cross-over.
Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon coming to 3DS November 17th.
Gold and Silver coming to 3DS Virtual Console.
Sept 22nd.
I wonder if US/UM is like a B2/W2, an extended Episode Delta, or just an excuse to include mega stones into Sun/Moon.
Gold/Silver I understand, but they couldn't at least do HG/SS?
I mean aren't mega stones already in Sun Moon? They could keep expanding the amount with more Mystery Gifts, don't need a new game for it.
Having not played since release, I thought they were giving away megastones as part of events.
I remember there being a few obtainable during the game, but not the full collection.
I think they said there was a new story. They showed what I assume to be Mega versions of the 2 main legendaries.
So ummm TPC Press Site references Ultra Sun/Moon on the Switch as some time TBA:
They're giving them away as events, mystery gifts and code downloads, so it wouldn't be an excuse to include what's already available. S/M has -a lot- of room for expansion, including potentially following Lily's story in Kanto (since you are originally from there after all) and even if it's a new story, they clearly made S/M (like X/Y) to be expandable. They just never did anything with X/Y sadly (though it could be argued that S/M was originally "Z" considering the whole zygarde side quest.)
So it looks like these new "legendaries" are fusions with Necrozma:
Thanks Niv.
RE: US/UM, it going to be Sun/Moon + new content, or start where they left off?
http://gematsu.com/2017/06/pokemon-u...-announced-3dsPokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon offer an alternate story taking place in the world of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, featuring Pokemon that did not appear in the original versions. New features will allow you to enjoy adventure even more.
Wasn't there some in depth theory-crafting how Necrozma and Arceus are related somehow?
And GF's description of US/UM still doesn't really make it clear whether its an enhanced S/M, a B2/W2, or similar to an extended Episode Delta as that description could apply to all 3 concepts.
Kanto has to play into this at some point though, because GF's general habit is that they don't mention a region without being able to travel there at some point in the generation.
Edit: Just as an aside, someone on reddit noticed that no Gen 4 pokemon plushes were on the shelves behind the presenters during the direct.
Would love a B2/W2 where the League has installed proper gyms and you face Kahunas & S/M Protag as E4 & Champion.
What we'll get is a port upscaled to 900p, access to different existing mons, a few form changes for other existing mons, almost exactly the same plot, and maybe a new competitive mode.
Would've liked a third "Stars" version, but seems this will be something much less.
