i know fuck and all about LoL, but that looks pretty slick.
the lore is real stupid, or at least it was. i think they improved the writing a little bit but ehhh
Hello anime lovers, like League of Legends fan, I was really excited to see the trailer of anime serious about the LOL world
https://deadline.com/2021/11/arcane-...ix-1234878165/Fresh off a suspenseful Season 1 cliffhanger, Riot Games’ League of Legends animated series Arcane has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix.
It was absolutely amazing
I really enjoyed it - the art style, the story, the characters… everything!
Very very good show. Silco's such a well written character. Won't go into too much detail as spoilers, but yeah. Very good even if you aren't a League fan.
It was incredibly well written, and the art and sound direction were top notch. This studio has done other LoL short videos but I imagine they are going to explode after this. Can't wait for S2.
Okay stop homering.
It was good, the writing wasn't that great and there's a lot of come on's but they did leave you wanting more. I don't play league and had no expectations going in other than hearing it was good. I didn't even watch a trailer.
What I will say is that the animation is fantastic. Possibly ground breaking or the new standard. I can not believe this isn't motion capture. I thought it for sure was the whole time and had to look it up. The facial animations are incredible, extremely realistic and you can really feel the emotions. I was convinced it was just mocap in a cool animation style, still not over it.
I'm not homering, just sharing the animu guy's opinion. I think the series is okay and have been watching it off and on over the past week. Outside of the art, I don't feel any sort of a hook to this series. I'm just watching to to tide myself over until something I like more comes along.
But I feel the same, the art got me. I'll watch season 2. The later stuff is just wonderful.
Bumpity bump, but I only just watched it.
This show had no right being as good as it was. I watched the first two episode the night before and I was going to play Horizon Last night, but after watching episode 3 I ended up burning through the rest of the season instead. Maybe I just wasn’t expecting anything considering it’s source material, but the characterization of most of the characters were really great. They juggled the different storylines pretty well (except for the Firelights)
But… I’m really doubting season 2 will be anywhere near as good.Spoiler: show
let's fuckin go boys
