    Wireless Networking

So, I want to avoid spending 100 dollars on a stupid microsft brand usb wireless adapter for the 360. I'm wondering what a less expensive way would be?

My xbox is in my bedroom, while my router is in my office. Can I use a wireless access point and hook it up to my xbox via ethernet cable and put it in the same room? Or, am I able to use a 2nd computer, put it in my room, and use my computer as a wAP? Sorry, I'm kind of a wireless networking newb, and don't want to go wasting money >.>

The Idiot's guide to answer this problem would be a 100ft Ethernet cable!

If the Xbox has an ethernet port there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to use a wireless access point (802.11g).
I think the only downside will be Xbox may not support technical network queries when not using what they recommend.

This is what I use, and it is compatible with 360; Tried it with my friends box and is stated on their website.

    Awesome price.
Generally they retail about £45 here (about $70)

around the same price, closer to $60 if you order online, but roughly the same thing but a bit more robust.

Yeah, never buy computer stuff at retailers, always buy from tigerdirect or newegg.
