    Yes we lost some posts

Cant tell you right now, but it involves some evil, some trickery, and some tomfoolery. Investigations are under way, but we have a good idea of where the issue came from. The server itself is fine, just someone who wasnt supposed to be there, decided to come play.

If said person comes back and wants to discuss something with me, and wishes to avoid anymore entanglements, mailto:[email protected]

Sorry about losing posts, we had to restore the database to an older version. (from this morning)

it doesn't need activity to keep it at the top of the page, ergo sticky.

a thread is either sticky or it is not, and will move down the list without activity. tagging it "announcement" has no effect on that function.

comparing being/not being a sticky and being a dog/being a poodle is retarded, since the latter isn't mutually exclusive.

whats funny is my little cat used to really enjoy stopping cpu fans. back in the dark times when athlons were the superheated cpus and gamers ran with cases open to keep them at stable temperatures, you could do that everywhere but my house, where my cat thought it was hilarious to shove his paw where it didnt belong

Yeah, I had the same "natural air cooling" setup for my Athlon oven. Plus a couple curious cats. Luckily mine are both sissies....one high RPM fan blade to the paw and they both decided it was more fun to attack other things.

Now I just have to look for them when I print things. They like to leap upon the paper as it leaves the printer.

So back in college, I rejected this creepy guy who asked me out because I was headed back to my dorm to play.

Guy-who-just-got-rejected: Does your COMPUTER keep you warm at night?

Me: Actually, It's overclocked, So yes it does. *glee and walk away*

I've always heard of this, what is overclocking exactly? My friend mentioned overclocking his PC and if my memory serves me right, it speeds up your computer or something? Can someone tell me how to do it or explain to me what it is exactly. (Sorry about ignorance derail ;-; )

Basically you increase the voltage to the CPU [or video card or w/e] and it forces the device to run faster than it was made to, And usually makes the hardware burn out faster, and run hotter but faster.

You can change your clock frequencies in your motherboard for your CPU or using Coolbits for your video card. ^^

By forcing say, a 128mb video card to run faster/hotter, would that make it perform higher than it's supposed to, at about 150-175mb ?
