Steam FFXI. Help plox.

Hey guys, 2 questions here, would be greatly thankful if both can be resolved.

Ok, so I brought FFXI a while back, and back then it wasnt sold in Aus, so I brought an american version, which means I had to go through alot of trouble to get ToAU working on it, had to change the registry and stuff (well, a friend did). But since then I have uninstalled and started up a few weeks ago. Can I buy a digital version of ToAU and link it to the account that alreayd has ToAU? Or, does anyonw know how to make it so an EU version of ToAU will work with a US version of FFXI?

Also, I just brought FFXI and all the expansions off steam, played it a few times, and realised I had 2 copies of FFXI installed, and accidently uninstalled them both, so I had to download FF through steam again, now it just gets to the movie and closes the game, no error or anything.
