Hacked account?

Well today something really terrible happened to a friend of mine. She is lv75 PUP BLM RDM with all the best gear you can imagine and she logged on tonight to discover that someone had logged onto her account and stolen/dropped all her gear, but not only that, he de-leveled her PUP to 57.

I've heard stories of people getting hacked and getting their accounts restored, but this has alot of very rare items like Zenith Mitts+1, Heralds Gaiters, BLM AF2, BLM AF1+1, RDM AF2, Dalmatica and an assortment of other priceless gear that it took her many months if not years to obtain.

My question is, is there any special way she can approach GM's? The problem with this situation is that the person knew her info and was a long time friend. Does the fact that the person had her info nullify all chances of getting her items back? GM's up to this point have pretty much told her she got fucked and there is nothing she can do about it. Does anyone know of any special ways you can approach GM, like ask for SGM or someone?

Sounds like more than some greedy bastard trying to steal gear and gilz. Sounds like the hacker had a personal beef with this person. Deleveling to 57 takes some time and effort.

She better re-evaluate all the people to whom she ever gave her password.

Yeah, um, I also had, uh... walahra turban +1, seven league boots, parade gorget, and a ton of other things, and my PUP was delevelled to 34. How can I approach a GM to get my stuff back, too, and have my PUP PL'd-- er.. restored to 75?

Ontopic for a second: I think if the GMs have already said she's SOL, then they're not going to do anything about it however you approach them. I'm 99% sure they won't restore any items for anyone, ever. Hell, half the time they tell people you can "reacquire" some items ingame (ie Tav Ring) but I've seen no confirmation from anyone this has been possible. GMs don't have a clue, unfortunately.

Just need to change the password and be more careful about who has the details next time, if anyone at all.

deleveling a toon is some dirty shit. A friend of mine got hacked about a year ago, they dropped all his rare/ex gear including an evoker ring...that hurt bad. A week later he was wearing a dalmatica and now, a year later, he's one of the best geared RDMs on the server. Hope that shines a little light on a shitty day.
