    Oddity in Skill Chain

Was out learning my last spell on Qutrubs this evening and while trying to break the gay fuckers weapon I caused a Distortion greater then the WS that triggered it.

Ive seen Light and Dark Match the triggering Weapon Skill damage, but I have never seen a Level 2 match a Weapon Skill nor any Skill Chain every beat out the Triggering Weapon Skill. Anyone seen this before?

WS chains allow SC damage to be greater than the closing WS.

Shark Bite-> Tachi: Kasha Light damage will cap at the damage of Tachi: Kasha.

Asuran Fists-> Shark Bite(Frag)-> Tachi: Kasha Light damage will cap at 1.5x the damage of Tachi: Kasha.

So for your screenshot, you probably closed a level1 somewhere with Savage Blade, then went to Distortion with Disseverment. Either that or Qutrubs just take fucked up SC damage like that all the time.

hmm its possible cause of the equipment change, but with a level 2 still seems out of sort. still seems 2x what it should have been...would have been nice so see something close that with dark >.>

    Edit:

This was usually as far as I got with the resistance to Distortion

    Is correct I believe.

EDIT: L2 SC unresisted dmg is 60% of closing WS dmg, which in your example would have been 751 normally, but is doubled because lolqutrub.

EDIT2: And in your second example, that's a double resist. WS*.6*.25*2

qutrubs take extra damage from *most magic based attacks, and I only say most because I don't want to get a ss of a resisted spirts or something and people saying I'm wrong, but SC and MB do extra damage I promise

Dunno why people are not sure why you got those resuslt ,it's kinda obvious if you fought more than 2 quturbs. >_>

They take huge dmg from magic, as well as skillchain I think it can go up to x4 on a 5men skillchain, x2 on a normal one (150% for a level 2).

Most distortion are resisted simply because quturb are resistant to the 4 darkness spell (at least ice and darkness like any undead). Try a thunder spell and try ice spell, you will notice resistance pretty fast

    [edit]

Anyone tried a epeen screenshot on that quest quturb NM? I hit it for 8k on burst 2 without uggalpih, obi, sorcerer ring, skillchain. i wonder how high you could go.

Doing Dolphins to help a friend farm bust out another set of distortions that broke the triggering WS knowing no one else was fighting the Dolphin I was on. It was Lightning Day I believe at the time
