Solo'ing Sozu Rogberry

Is this possible as a WAR/NIN? My marksmanship is at level 100 ish, and I can easily pick up some cheap ranged acc+ items so I can use sleep bolts or whatever. I am worried that shadows would go down too quickly without. I have fought this NM before and I can avoid throat stab etc.
Just wondering if anybody has much experience with this.

I've only done it on THF, but if you reset your grudge, make sure to shadow count well, avoid throat stab and really just dont mess up it should be fine...i think >_> lol

Unless you merited evasion and you have evasion gear on, it'll be tough even with an NPC fellow to help you.

With Ichi and Ni, you would only need around 250~ Evasion Skill to decently dodge him. Triple attack is the real killer. Though, you could try to outright outlast him. If you could deal enough damage, and manage to take low damage from his hits, you could kill it before it kills you without giving a damn about evasion.

Start with TP and Mighty Strikes Rampage -> tp wing Rampage lol

Then you'll take him to PD and after that just try to stay alive and kill him.

Not quite sure why you'd be trying, though.

RMT like to stand behind you so you cant get out of the way of throat stab, so becareful of that and maybe bring evasion food and some hi pots.

I've solo'd him around 20 times on WAR/NIN, and he's really not overly difficult. Granted, I have capped Marksmanship, and I had a decent evasion kit for my WAR (Evasion+40ish, skill+10) and could reliably land bolts. I never bothered with ic wings, but I did 2h Rampage him every time, and that usually just brutally rapes his HP. As long as you're good at shadow counting, you shouldn't have much difficulty as long as you're not meleeing in full xp (read: -evasion) gear.

yes if you are good at keeping ichi/ni up
sozu accuracy is really bad so you should not have much of a problem with some decent evasion or haste gear
3 or 4 rampages and it will be dead
might want to level that markmanship if it is tough for you when you try
bloody bolts own, i like to sleep it during perfect dodge, dont ask why lol
make you sure you don't get throat stabbed and you will be ok!
might want to use a sushi too just incase, light of penance blind is really strong and you can't reliable use markmanship when that is up without it

they did this to me once but if you are good player it is easy to get out of the way. once there was like 10 ppl trying to do it to me and i still was too far on stab like 3 times during the fight. taht fight droped a knife too 8)
some guy tried to do it to me while he was invised...lol he still failed horribly at it.

If the RMT are blocking your run-away you can do an equip swap or two to blink out for a few seconds. This will let you run through them while you're being rerendered.

saw a war/nin solo it last time as i was coming in to camp it /angry

he didnt have anything special but was using bloody bolts a good portion of the fight. i think this is what he did and i recoment this also

a mnk/nin can solo, so a war/nin should be able to. Capped markmanship will help incase you get into trouble. Just make sure you run from throat staff and your tonberry hate is low. GL ^^
