call me retarded but how does a cross server LFG system work? would you pay to change servers? or is it for certain types of events only/people looking to get a certain pvp rating

All the dungeons are instanced in WoW, as in when you enter, it loads its own little instance of the dungeon, so it saves all your progression and stuff. Now you can search across servers and party in a shared instance and play with anyone in your group, assuming they're in battle groups like they are for BGs and stuff, not just one huge pool.

How was I supposed to know all that while the servers were down for extended maintenance that kept getting extended with no sign of coming back up, and then when the servers finally did go live nothing worked for the first day.
