Jailer of Hope (broken?)

After a long time trying to get Temperance our LS finally had it pop on our way to the monk Ix'aern and got the virtue so we gathered to do Hope the next night.

As usual we did some research on what we were up against and set our parties up to try to deal with thundaga and burst II the best we could.

Paladin trades the triggers to the ??? at like 8:00 earthday with no weather effect, Hope pops out of the water and.......does nothing. Bards keep using thunder carol and whitemages casting barthunder, mages not going overboard to avoid pulling hate and eating a big thundaga, but it never casts a single spell. It doesn't even attack fast and the weapon skills it's using don't even seem to be really doing anything. Everyone is wondering what is going on and waiting for it to go nuts as it's HP drops or something, but it just never does. A very few short and anticlimatic minutes after it pops it dies and drops only a damn staff.

Has anybody else had this happen? Was it the fact that it was earthday and it is (I'm assuming) a thunder mob and SE has some obsession with elements in sea? If anyone has had this happen, did it start actually casting magic when earthday was over (water day is next I believe)? And did the fact that we killed it on a day when it was honestly about as difficult as the monk Ix'aern with 1 HQ organ affect drop rate?

It's always cast when we've done it, but we haven't for a long time. It is very very easy though when kitied, even with casting.

All of sea is broken, Jailer of Hope is just retardedly easy. I agree it's a little odd that he didn't cast a single spell but he wasn't exactly spamming them on us when we've fought him in the past. Just accept you got lucky so you don't take too many liberties next time and get caught with your pants down.

Yeah, there was never a single spell cast the entire fight. And kiting was completely pointless for us too because one Ninja could have basically straight up tanked it with some support.

I guess we'll just write it off as a glitch for now and spend another month and dozens of hours trying to get temperance again only for it to not drop the next three kills anyway and wind up spending about 40 hours getting one trigger.

Sea is awesome. I can quickly sum up what we've gotten so far for countless hours of work:

1x Merciful Cape (about 10 combined ix'aern kills)
0x Altruistic Cape (think 3 kills, maybe 4)
1x Fortitude Torque (4-5 kills)
0x Faith Torque (4-5 kills)
0x Temperance Torque (only 1 kill)
0x Hope Torque (1 kill)
0x Justice Torque (1 kill)

Haven't even seen dragoon ix'aern after at least 12 hours of camping with an alliance.

Totally worth all that work.
