    Re: Ah, how delightfully ironic

That's not ironic, it's just coincidental!

I've come to the conclusion that noone really knows what the definition and applications of irony is, and that we all just throw the word out to sound more intelligent when describing a oddly-connected event or situation.

When i want to sound smart, i just say incidently and maladroite alot. Using latin words in italics is also a nice way to sound even smartererererer.

Actually, my post was another line from that episode of Futurama.

In which Bender also gives the perfect definition of the word; "The use of words expressing something other than their literal intention, now THAT, is... irony!"

The only thing ironic about the song Ironic, is that it doesn't contain ironic events.

If I read this right, Back in 1995, 13 years ago, he got his donor organ.

Doesn't sound like a waste to me if it added 13 years to his life. He was 70, that's pretty old.

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife

And isn't it ironic... don't you think

A little too ironic... and yeah I really do think...

I'd like to think that if I gave someone 13 years with my organs or my relative's organs they'd be more thankful than to kill themselves.

They should transplant the heart to yet another person and see if they marry her again and shoot themselves.

Personally, I blame the wife, because she's the only common factor in both cases (aside from the heart itself).

We could keep tabs on her, if her next husband offs himself, we'll know it wasn't the heart.

    Re: Ah, how delightfully ironic

This is a really fucking WEIRD story, how is that not getting talked about?

    Some married guy kills himself.

His heart is given to some other guy that needs a donor.

Guy receiving said heart ends up FALLING IN LOVE WITH AND MARRYING HIS HEART DONOR'S WIDOW...

    Eventually proceeds to kill self...

    what... the fuck...
