Been making my way through this, was surprised I couldn't find a thread or even a post about it. Pretty fucking good.

The eight-episode series, set in 1814, follows James Keziah Delaney (Hardy) as he returns to his hometown of London from Africa after a voyage so long, he’s been presumed dead. Delaney is set to inherit his father’s shipping empire, which sounds like a boon until all of the Delaneys’ enemies begin scuttling out of the woodwork and he finds himself having to navigate an increasingly fraught, complex world in order to save his own skin.
I've tried to write a little blurb about the show but everything I write seems to give away stuff that you'd be better off watching and finding out for yourself.
The show really centers around the conflict between the crown and the east india trading company, and Tom Hardy's character is caught right in the middle and as a result fucks up both of their plans.
Some of Hardy's best acting imo.
