East Florida job market?

We have anyone from BG out in east Florida? A guy I used to play XI with asked me today about the job market in Florida (why he'd ask me, I never know), but I'm on the other side of the state.

Figured I'd pop in here and ask, see if I could help the guy out.

business/management and Daytona if that helps at all.

Dunno, but i just recently moved from Palm beach county...employment was shittastic there, even as a charismatic, experienced, and motivated individual.
There's always rich Palm Beach island socialites looking to support assistants.

yeah I clicked on this link because I live in West Palm Beach and its bad here (I'm happy to have 15 years already into a gov job) don't know about Daytona at all

Jacksonville area is fucking hurrrrrible for jobs atm. Also, apartment prices are way higher for the wages in the area, prolly from the housing bubble popping so badly here.

2 Navy bases and 2(3?) college campus' here, job market overflooded.

I had a job at Target for about 6 months and a Dominoes job for about 17 months. After they both fell through, I just started using the GI bill just to fucking survive.

It is fucking BAD out here.

As for the first site in particular, LinkUp is superior to many other listing sites, and that's due to how they gather their listings: by trolling companies' sites directly. If your friend is truly interested in any jobs that they find there, they should always request an opportunity to apply in person (rather than, say, strictly via email), and try to have a conversation with the hiring manager, talent coordinator, et cetera. Just throwing digital paperwork at an email address is likely to get them nowhere.

We're expanding through parts of the state, but up that way, not so much. Most of our expansion lately has been southbound toward Fort Lauderdale. Florida is terrible across the board for jobs from what I understand.

Miami is FUCKING ASS for jobs. I know people with Masters degrees in Engineering (Howard Wolowitz degrees) that are selling tvs at Best Buy. Shit is horrendous.
