since when has SE ever claimed they were gonna do something
useful and beneficial to higher level players who don't wanna spend
9 hours LFP and because their a dead class no one wants for a merit
party, so they have no choice but to either start a new job to 75 or
campaign their lives away.

Yeay for never going to beastmen controlled areas if mobs are not up.
Even though it requires a lot more attention, I've been getting 5000-6000 xp per campaign in crawler's nest now, so i'm not really complaining.
pretty boring fighting the fortification anyway..

It seems to me like they never really add much benefit to something, they just shift the benefit. Now that there are the ANNMs, etc, they just seem to have made it more difficult / time consuming to round up easy AP. The only real benefit to going to the beastman controlled zones now is being able to do the ANNMs for that zone also. There's still incentive, I just am skeptical that the incentive is worth the time investment. Overall, silly move for SE if they wanted to see the Campaign system flourish and not become as wilted as the conquest system.

I'm actually suspicious that the fort xp is capped based on your other xp. Fights where I kill nothing get me 100-200 xp. Fights where I don't hit the fortifications and the mobs retreat usually get me 1200-1800 (edit: This is also about how much xp I get in regular fights, soloing or duoing 3-5 mobs. 500-900 if there's a lot of people hitting "my" mob). Fights with multiple mobs + fortification smashing usually gets me 5000-6000...
6000? I have never seen that much. Have they improved the amount of exp? I noticed I get 1500-2000 on 67 PLD, but I thought it was because of tanking. I got 2000 garliage citidel for a 20 minute fight. Anyone have any other screen shots to calm my curiosity?
I've had this happen too, though not 6k exp.
Just, if you get there early, hit on the fort until beastmen show up.
If beastmen are up, or when they show up, beat on them.
Also, HELP AND WORK WITH THE NPCs. I'm pretty sure if you keep their losses low, you keep nations strength high, and that means a better chance of taking the beastmen citadels.
Letting them tank is safer for you, and helping them kill their mobs faster lessens their damage taken.
Once beastmen are dead, go back to whacking on the fort.
Wheter is it true or not, this idea is awsome. I had enough people that had engaged Fort and went afk for free exp while others had been striving to undertake defenders ;/
This adjustment would made active people getting more rewards while lazy bums getting hossed ^^/
I only get those numbers doing areas like CN where nobody shows up. Kill mobs until they run, whack on forts, profit.
That screenshot above is the most I've gotten from any one battle so far. My goal is to break 10k someday.
