Yea I bought a stack of galateia (24m when I bought it, now pushing 30m) and a shining cloth (10m, which I turned into an Aristo and have it bazaared)

This is about triton rings. Jeez.

I hq'd 3 carapace mitts between 88 and 91 bone; a friend of mine hq'd 3 muscle belts between 87 and 92 gold. She also hq'd at least 8 beads I think.

When I was leveling clothcraft in the mid 90s I went NQ Hpl, HQ Macrame, NQ Slacks <_<. I also hq'd g.bird fletchings, which I promptly npc'd, and then went on a 2/18 skillup streak on errant slops.

It ALWAYS works this way.

Hmm. Can't you desynth Triton rings back into Orichalcum ingots? I don't know how true it is.. but I heard it from someone on my server. (Bismarck.) Just some thought.. It's still a loss.. but might as well try to recover anything you can from it. Other than that it has absolutely no use.

lol i have 3 triton ring in my MH too, ya SE sux, maybe one day they'll open the 74 HQ rings and they require triton ring to make.

Anyone think its strange how the guild master doesn't even have the recipe for the Lv. 74 rings? It doesn't matter if you're Lv. 100, those recipes simply don't exist as far as the guild master is concerned. It makes you wonder if the HQ versions really do exist, maybe it's another recipe that nobody's thought of yet. I know the HQ of Orichalcum + Bead is just a regular ring, and I know Triton + Bead doesn't work, but what if the recipe were something else? If I had a Triton's Ring, I'd probably be tempted to try various combinations of gems in there also. Like maybe Triton + Bead + HQ3 gem or something. Probably still wouldn't work, but I still gotta think the HQ rings are obtainable somehow.
