Windows Update

My laptop been trying to update itself for the past 2 weeks, the update is Microsoft .net framework 3.5 pack 1 3.5 family update. But every time it starts it would re pop up and say these updates was not installed . Is there anyway to fix this?

Those dotnet updates are stupid; they never seem to work unless they're installed independent of any other update. If you can't get it to work through windows update, try downloading the update itself directly from Microsoft (just google the name) and installing it that way.
