In honor of his upcoming film, I vote M. Night Shamalan. Every one of his movies are beyond fucking terrible. I tried to put this in spam, but there's no fucking poll option there

What the heck?
Uwe Boll is the man. He's not a fucking retard like Michael Bay ok
I agree with you on M. Night SHAMalan. Lady in the Water was one of the worst movies I've seen in recent years.
I -almost- included michael bay, but then i remembered that bay is AWESOME!

I was also going to add Lucas, but then I remembered he helped produce "The Land Before Time" and that was a badass movie, even if he didn't direct it.
They are all terrible, but each in their own way.
M. Night Shyamalan is a good director and a one-trick-pony writer, and he's gotten two decent films out of that one trick and what, 4 shitty ones so far? He needs a writer, but he is way too stubborn/still masturbating on his reviews from The Sixth Sense.
Brett Ratner is the guy Hollywood gives big-budget movies to when they want ...them finished? If nothing else he has a good opening weekend consistently and is a "caretaker", but doesn't have even an ounce of talent, he's just competent enough to manage a $150 million dollar picture.
Uwe Boll is an opportunistic savage, born only of financial convenience and a determination to proceed when he clearly sucks because "fuck you" is an acceptable answer to everything for him. He's clearly the worst director (no I've never seen an Uwe Boll film) of these three (and probably of any group of currently working directors you could match him up against) but you never expect anything he makes to be good - there's no flashes of brilliance, so he's also the least likely to disappoint. Unless you were really expecting gold from the newest film adapted from some C-rate video game no one played.
What, I loved Lady in the Water. :s
I wanna know what 2 movies that Shaymalan directed that were good? The Sixth Sense was written very well, but was an OKAY movie that had brilliant acting. The rest...wut
I liked Unbreakable.
The Village was great and The Happening looks promising.
Only because of Mark Wahlberg.Originally Posted by Bwelch

OMG, the village may have been the worst movie ever. On par with "The Mist" for the worst ending ever. Terrible plot twist, could have been written by an AP high school english student. I didn't like unbreakable because I'm not a big fan of realism in my super hero flicks. I want backflipping, net shooting, blowing up shit, bad Ass Mother Fuckers.
I'll watch Blood Rayne 10x over watching signs once. At least I get to see titties in Blood Rayne.
But if you're going to do a superhero movie set in humdrum reality, it's pretty good - just not your cup of tea.Originally Posted by Tyche
I wasn't aware you could do a poll like this using anything other than "your cups of tea". It's all opinion. I didn't think it was good. The dude survived a train wreck but almost died in a 3ft pool. OKAY!
Superman can leap tall buildings in a single bound, but a one-ounce rock can kill him.Originally Posted by Tyche

No, I'm saying the movie was based on realism, and I hated it, then it decided to almost kill a man in a 3ft pool. See anything wrong with that?
Did you pay attention to the movie or only wake up at different blurps of the movie?
Any superhero movie is fucking retarded on that premise. I wouldn't say M. Night is an inept director, most of his movies are well made and enjoyable. If you don't like the story enough that it prevents you from enjoying the movie, I wouldn't say that rules the directing as poor, just poor screenwriting. The Lady in the Water is an exception seeing as how he practically made it for his elementary school aged children.
Unbreakable was a good movie. Awesome ending too.
Peopled terrified of drowning in water drown all the time. It means they never learned to swim.Originally Posted by Tyche
Besides, this list is not about 'most inept' it's about 'who do you hate more.' If we were really looking for inept directors we should put other complete directorial hacks like Michael Bay or the Wachowski Brothers in the poll.
