Chocobo delivery BS

I did Sandy to Windy on the chocobo quest in 28"49' and just missed getting the xp scroll. But the thing I don't get is that the record was 22"??'.

Now I know I could have gone faster (load times between each zone can affect you), but how the hell does someone go 6 minutes faster than someone else? Only real shortcuts I see are in Jugner, Mephistad mountains, and Tahrongi canyon.

So I was wondering, does mazurka or +movement speed work on a chocobo.

My roomate had done this every week for the past like.. month, and each time, regardless of getting the record, he's gotten an XP scroll.

EDIT: He does the race from San d'Oria to Bastok.

You don't get a xp scroll unless youre a min within the record. An impossibilty unless you like speed hack for some of those records.

I've gotten an exp scroll when the record was 3 min faster than my time. This was on Bastok - Sandy tho, dunno if its different.

That is not true. I remember the last time I did Bastok to San d'Oria that the record was around 15 minutes, I was there in 19 minutes and still got a scroll.

My general advice is to only do Bastok to Sandy or vice versa. Going to Windy just doesn't seem worth it becase there are so many places where things can go wrong.
