Goldeneye was the gateway drug for so many of my friends to start playing videogames. Holy hell having 4P+ people swap in and out was so fun. I wonder how well the game holds up nowadays.

This was the first game that introduced a large portion of people outside of the gaming community with Multiplayer Gaming. It wasn't that big of a deal for people who had been playing deathmatch online for years (Quake, etc.), but it bridged the gap between casual and hardcore gamers. Sooo many wasted hours rotating my whole dorm floor out on a single set of n64 controllers because I had the big TV. Goldeneye and some wrestling game (some WCW Nitro title) basically had my n64 on for the whole academic year.

Nice find, definitely worth looking into once its polished.

well yes and no, its the Goldeneye maps, for Half Life 2.

It's a remake of the Goldeneye for N64 ....made on the HL2 engine. Your favorite guns from GE will be there...I'm not sure how they are going to handle the different options for games...and how to handle which character you'll be. :3
