Marvel’s Wolverine is a standalone game being directed by Brian Horton (creative director) and Cameron Christian (game director), who recently led the creative efforts on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a game we’re extremely proud of at Insomniac. In the vein of our Spider-Man games, our goal here is to not only respect the DNA of what makes the character so popular, but also look for opportunities to make it feel fresh and truly reflect the Insomniac spirit. Even though Marvel’s Wolverine is very early in development, from what I’ve seen of its emotional narrative and cutting-edge gameplay (see what I did there?), the team is already creating something truly special.
Dong extended in time with the claws. Fuck i'm hyped.
I keep going back and forth on this game. Insomniac has earned more than enough goodwill to give them a shot, but Wolverine just doesn't feel like he'd be a fun character to play as. You'd have just melee attacks, maybe some gap closers. Guess they could add lots of environment stuff you can chuck or something. Then there's the healing factor that you'd have to address, it'd just feel awkward if a few bullets, punches, or knives from goons is taking him out.
I think I'm just worried it's not going to be the kind of game I'd like it to be. I want something character/story driven with combat like God of War, Berserker/Spartan mode, brutal finishers, slicing off limbs, etc.
They could always go the old man Logan route where his healing factor is weakened from the adimentium poisoning

Hyped as fuck for this
Give us cameos
I'm not going to link to it, but Insomniac didn't cave to a ransom attack, and some early footage of this, among other things, has been leaked online.
that's certainly a take
