Anyone know what the problem of this is?

Every single time I play a downloaded movie off the internet on WMP, it plays, but all I see is the video in green, red, blue, yellow, and other colors. But when I play FF7:AC, it is normal. I have the latest WMP, video drivers, and everything....anyone know what the problem is?

you need the proper video codec, if you hear sound and have no video, you need the video codec, if you have video but no sound you need the proper audio codec, there is a program called g-spot and if you drag video files into it, it tells you what codecs you need in order to play it

Ugh I had that problem too, little squares of the colors you named would just flash all over the place even though everything was updated and I could still see the video and had sound etc. I said fuck it and downloaded Core Media Player, its been workin fine for me

The problem is that the colors of the video don't line up so you have the green version one place, red another place, and well you know. But yeah. I just restart and it fixes it. I also noticed it happens when I have the ffxi windower open.
